INTO the GAME

This novel is based on two real people who the author used to enjoy watching on a large screen television playing, World of Warcraft.  The author combined the names of the two friends and created Maxwell Taylor, a video game junkie who comes into money and buys the ultimate gaming set up.  Unfortunately for him, when the quintessential lightning and thunder storm breaks out, it was not a good time to be playing the game invented by the author; World of Gorak.  Maxwell is sucked INTO THE GAME and becomes Krakonar, a cyber wizard; who after drinking a magical potion given him by his cyber reality friends, he forgets all about ever having been a human being and is now a part of the fantastic world created by a very imaginative writer.

Back home, Maxwell’s girlfriend watches her boyfriend travelling hither and thither in the W.O.G.  When she takes her problem to Red Deer College’s Electronic Arts Department a possible solution how to get Maxwell back to the real world is effected, sending Maxwell’s girlfriend into the game in order to help Krakonar complete a very rare and dangerous quest to find the Mnemonicon; the Memory Worm who has the portal back to reality.
