Compositions by Gertjan Zwiggelaar
The Amsterdammer’s Proharmonic Orchestra
- Symphony Number 2 35:18 An inspired symphony in which Angels guided my fingers, especially on the harp; an instrument Angels have a good grip on.
- Symphony Number 3 21:09 I gained a great interest in trains from the time I first became aware they existed, sometime in my very early childhood in the Netherlands, where train travel is the norm. Coming to Canada, my family and I rode by CN Continental from Montreal to Edmonton which took four days! I have been across Canada several times by train and truly enjoy travelling that way. It is so sad that airplanes and time restrictions have taken that awesome means of travel away for so many people. Not those who commute in large urban centres by train, but who goes across Canada by train anymore? This symphony is about riding a train and about trains in general as they go hither and thither on those narrow steel rails carrying the commercial activities of the International Banking Cartel and the mega corporations who own the box stores in a neighbourhood near you.
- Rhapsody in Yellow for Flute & Strings 14:15 There is that Yellow Rhapsody again. ‘Sunshine came softly through my window today…’ -Donovan Leach
